Google Scholar Europe PMC and Embase
« on: May 21, 2025, 09:14:00 AM »
having just seen some recent data about rising covid omicron infections in the far east, I came across an excellent link to an article on the use of inhaled antibodies (Abs) A breath of fresh air: inhaled antibodies to combat respiratory infectious diseases - a clinical trial overview
https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/17425247.2024.2446608

===

another interesting part of this was the link, which came from Google Scholar (which provokes mixed reviews but is still up and running and still perhaps provides an excellent starting point for searches

the link i started from was https://scholar.google.com/scholar?start=10&q=Vaccination+prior+to+SARS-CoV-2+infection+does+not+affect+the+neurologic+manifestations+of+long+COVI&hl=en&as_sdt=0,21&as_ylo=2025

that seemed to have recent results not confined to long covid, in fact very few if any, but had the desired Abs study the poster wanted to highlight

the other search i haven't yet checked but here for my notes is "Embase" described by Logan Cohen  as good for biomedical searches, especially ones related to pharmacology www.embase.com

and Europe PMC which he describes "has more content than PubMed as well as RSS and other familiar features. "

he also reminds us of Libraries; "Whatever they don’t have, they can get via interlibrary loan. This applies to both public and university libraries."

(or for some more covid info, or an historical bio-science response timeline on the pandemic use our C19 Notes Search (top right) and Tag cloud or advanced search)

as with everything in this database
Please be aware some of the Articles may now be out of date or surpassed by more recent findings etc as the science evolves, so do take note of the Posting date and read in context.
