A Weekend of Book-related Events for Families
12th, 13th & 14th of February
Sedbergh Book Town is gearing up to kick off the New Year with a weekend of book-related events and activities aimed at the whole family. Throughout the weekend of 12th, 13th & 14th of February the Book Town Buzz will present a selection of entertaining events and creative workshops that are designed to encourage children, young people and parents to read and write more within the family.
Events include:
+ An evening of poetry, songs and comedy for the whole family.
+ Readings from books for children aged 3 to 7
+ Two workshops for young people aged 11-plus on the theme of Drawing Cartoons & Making Comics.
+ A showing of the re-make of E. Nesbit?s timeless classic story ?The Railway Children?.
+ Traditional tales and stories young and old from the newly appointed Storyteller Laureate, Taffy Thomas MBE
+ Two creative workshops for all the family when Nick Penny brings his best-selling book ?Making Musical Instruments from Junk!? to life
+ And of course St Valentine?s Day would not be complete without some poetry readings about love and romance for grown-ups, and overgrown-ups!

Please note that places on the creative workshops (the Cartoons & Comics and Junk Instruments events) are limited so please ensure you book early.
