Hi, sorry if this has already been covered but I would like to be clear about who can be members of this forum (ie who is reading it!)  Is it parents only or is it open to professionals too?  thanks

the whole forum is public except for the non public areas which are marked as such - 1 for each local group

-- all members of local groups can register and view their corresponding non public area, once they are verified as being in that group - so if your local group has professionals, you can see who has registered as members from your local group by clicking members and choosing 'membergroup' as sort...only members in that list eg furnessfolk would be able to view your non public board

the forum is open for all to register; there are professionals and parents and professionals who are parents.

It is probably wise to talk about certain topics/issues in general terms without being too specific, ie no personal attacks! you can however feed concerns through your local group's non public area or post any concerns you may have in measured terms -- this whole implementation being based on partnership; we need understanding and co-operation to achieve lasting results and in order to keep all on board :)
