instead of posting a "new topic" within a board, you can choose "new poll"
in this example using polls to gauge concensus,
could a  forum such as this be useful to the group?

after registering,you can see the results so far, which show after you have voted, and you can edit the poll or change your vote, as well as adding comments in the normal way using "reply"
