This traditional 2-bedroomed Cumbrian, period cottage is cosy, clean and simple with woodburner, exposed beams upstairs and a light airy sunroom overlooking the garden. Located on the Square of the thriving working village of Flookburgh, the property has access to many local amenities as well as footpaths, bridleways and country lanes. This is an ideal base from which to explore South Lakeland’s lesser known beauty. Local attractions include the historic village of Cartmel with horse racing, riding at Bigland, parachuting from Cark airfield and Holker Hall gardens and motor museum which are a short walk away. There is the children’s open farm just down the road and a miniature village. Flookburgh is 'out of the way' but easy to get to by car or train. Cark railway station is but a five minute walk from our front door.

Facilities:

The cottage has two large bedrooms. The front bedroom has a double bed and the rear one has  a single and a double. Downstairs is the open-plan fully equipped dining kitchen with  gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. In the lounge area there is a  TV, with freeview and a radio/CD player.  There is an attractive woodburner for which we provide an initial basket of logs and kindling, further supplies are available locally. There is gas central heating throughout. The bathroom is downstairs and has bath and shower. There is an airy sunroom opening onto a small lawned garden with seating and a portable barbeque. There is an outside lockup for your bicycles and sports equipment available on request.

You can park in front of the cottage and also on the square.

An information pack with details on all our facilities, as well as walks, leisure activities and visitor suggestions is provided. Also available is a washer/dryer and ironing facilities. We provide all your linen. Electricity & Gas is included in the rental price. A stairgate, travel cot, high chair and fireguard are available on request.
