July 16th, 2007Possible CrystalSolutions Event Diary Posting Facility for SO
option 1 / wordpress blog/site and 2/ BulletinBoard or 3/ a combination, with or without existing site.
* we could set up everyone with a password and the ability to edit, post, and delete, up files, photos, comments, and notices of forthcoming CPD
* anyone can post -they can can also add to the future events
it has Subscribe to Comments that allows commenters on the site to check a box before commenting and get e-mail notification of further comments. It is most popular for the simple reason that it helps foster a community around the site by encouraging commenters to come back and stay engaged in the dialog.
“Hi to SO members – you will have been sent a password and you can change it if necessary when you log in.
You can post to Events and, when you do , scroll down, and choose Event editor to add the dates of your forthcoming event. Click the …. to bring up the calendar, and tick the all day box for a 1-day event, You can include a link to a page of your own giving more details, or include the info in your post. click save and publish.(you can edit them later if required.)
You can post to other sections too – There is a dedicated SO page (right and above), to which we can add more pages as required.
There is also a link at Blogroll on the right, to go to the CrystalSolutions Bulletin Board, where we have set up a section for SO members where you can post and edit as required, which can be made visible only to SO members.
Finally you can view future events by using the event calendar on the right and clicking forward through the months and even sync the details to your own calendar apps on your own computer by clicking the little icon above the calendar, and subscribing to http://blog.address/?ec3_ical
