latest mac release adds blockbooking to the Calendar & Schedules, so as well as being able to book individual time slots within a day for any number of personnel or rooms, we can now block book daily slots, again for any number of rooms, units, courses or properties. It also resolves several issues with Intel macs where page help path wasn't previously being verified

I recommend you remove any crystalsolutions files or installers if you have not entered any critical data or added many patients. You can  export your Patient records and save them for importing into this new version first if you want, but this update will install into your Applications folder and will overwrite any existing files.

You will unfortunately have to insert your serial & DOB again if you have registered.

I couldn't replicate the password box being asked for unfortunately, but  leave empty if you see it again, unless you choose to add a password at a future date.

I would recommend you "option(alt)" delete the trash (with the deleted crystalsolutions files and folders) and do a restart before downloading/installing this new version.

I recommend you go to Setup/system and click "verify help path" if your help files are messaging as missing.

to use your Iphone to sync with CrystalSolutions, we recommend you use Apple os x's address book with "i cal"as described in the topic "is there a way of having reminders of patient birthdays ? "

if you import all your patients to a new category within address book, you will be able to update it every week say to keep it current.

we will let you know if in future releases, we add direct iphone syncing.

kept looking into how it could be done from within crystalsolutions without any changes and the best way would be to use apple os x's address book with "i cal"

if u look up help within those programs, you'll see "birthdays"
and you can set up alerts/sounds with messages and even email reminders or script ' a happy birthday email to the patient.

this would require you copy pasting patients details from crystalsolutions into address book or better exporting from crystalsolutions. then importing into address book.

you could set it up so that with the alert message , crystalsolutions gets opened...

ideally on opening crystalsolutions, it would be great to see a birthday alert and ill keep you posted if i find an elegant way, but for now what i'd recommend is for those special patients, you use address book and i cal.

envelope printing would use label printing -

as with all labelprinting, i would suggest you print a test page to check allignment against your avery label sheet.

In the current version of the product, only one non-specific label type is included. In future versions, it is intended that the main label types in general use (for instance, Avery Standard 5660) will be catered for.

below is help from setup/ stationery/labels (see also the stationery gem at the top) with its help.

Setup - Stationery Labels (Business Model: All)
Introduction
The Setup - Stationery Labels page can be used to set-up label printing for the product. Printing of labels can be disabled, the type of label (Standard or Custom) chosen and the message and label-graphics can be defined.

Field Information
The following is a summary of the available fields on this screen:

   * Printing Disabled
      Click on this field to disable the printing of labels. No users will be able to print out labels if this value is checked.
   * Type Standard/Custom
      A Standard label is the simplest type of label to print. It contains your company address at the top of the
      letter on the right-hand side, but has no special letterhead.
      Custom letters on the other hand, have a letterhead that is either a picture or (centred) text, of your choice.

      When you select Custom, a Template field appears and you can choose between the available templates. These are
      currently "Label Picture" (to display a picture at the top of each label) and "Label Typed" (to display a typed message
      at the top of each label).
   * Label Message
      This is a text area where you can type in and format text of your choice, to appear at the top of each label. To format
      the text, select it and right-click on it, choosing one of the formatting options (Font, Size, Style or Colour).
   * Label Graphic
      You can choose a graphic to display at the top of each label, by right-clicking in the graphic area and choosing an
      image file (.jpg, .gif, etc) from your system, using the Insert Picture command. Alternatively, you can simply type a
      path into the Path field below it.

When you are ready to preview (or print) a set of labels, click on the Setup button. This will take you to the appropriate (label) printing page, where you can preview your labels, print them out and modify their print-orientation, etc.

you should only be asked see a choice of add, delete or cancel --  what system are you using? if windows, which system?

as you seem to know, if no password was entered at first when you installed you shouldn't be asked for a password.

i will check when i get home. and let you know any ideas.

ive just run an install on xp without being asked for any passwords, and my first thoughts are that , if you are being asked for a password while trying to enter mailshot, and you haven't entered a password previously, then try to continue leaving the password box empty. (if you can take a screenshot of the dialogue box it would be helpful but not vital so don't worry)

the issue could be one of the original install being by an administrator and subsequent running by other log ins.

if you haven't started inputing patients and accounts, then i would suggest you uninstall, then re-install from crystalsetup (if you kept it) or download install anew. (make sure you install as an administrator in xp and don't use a password.

if you have started inputing data, you can back up the data first and then import it into the newly installed prog

Hi,

I am using your trial version to see if it works for me. For now I need it for mailshots and emails, with a view to using the other applications at a later stage.

When I try to go into 'M' for mailshots, it asks me for a password, which I don't remember setting up, so I can't get in?!

make sure you downloaded from http://crystalsolutions.hypermart.net/windload2.html

im assuming you've got xp or vista as an operating system

make sure the file has fully downloaded (its about 24 mb)

if you can't find another unzipping software to decompress it - and you can't test on an other machine - i will send you a cd (but it won't be for a few weeks as we need to upgrade our window's machines to do further testing.

actually now having a problem coming up with this message:
End-of-central-directory signature not found.  Either this file is not a Zip file, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part Zip file.
