Hi,
I have been looking at your crystal solutions practitioner software. I am a chiropractor and am a little unsure if and how it would be appropriate for my line of work. What I have seen I certainly like. Can one gather any statistics/reports from the program...ie; weekly/monthly patient numbers....financial info etc.
Many Thanks,

we replied:

yes -

for accounts. click the green accounts gem middle top from page 1
choose the first tab called Summary, and look at the very left column "business accounts"

if you haven't added an extra account or changed a name of an account, just choose your year or month, or practice location,  combination, and click Total.

click clear all, to get new totals and choose "detail" for details and reports.
if you click "back" from the first report view you will see basic listing 1 and 2 as an option -
basic listing 2 has the number of records/patients seen.

for general total database statistics - click the blue "statistics"gem from the top menu

CrystalSolutions v8 Mac / different practitioners workin...

different practitioners working to different appointment durations?

Hi Jol

The software was very good I thought but just not quite what we were looking for - we needed a day-to-day appointment system.  In particular the ability to have different practitioners working to different appointment durations, and software which prevented double bookings was quite important for us.  Having said that, if I was a sole practitioner more interested in clinical audit and admin functions I think I would have gone with crystal solutions.

Thanks for the demo and best of luck with your future software.

thx for taking the time to let us know your experiences.

I will look into setting up different appointment durations for different practitioners in a future release.

In the meantime if you don't find anything suitable and affordable, you can set a shorter "default treatment time duration" eg 10 minutes, which would be available for each practitioner or room, and then alot  3 blocks for a half hour appointment for the practitioner with a half hour list, 2 blocks for each appointment for the practitioner with a 20 min list etc

a bit messy maybe

thx again for your comments

regards jol

CrystalSolutions v8 Win / Not entering a password let me...

aha - I had not tried not entering a password!  Not entering a password let me straight in! thanks

you should not be seeing a request for a password unless you entered a password originally.
ie/ when you first installed and opened it  - if you enter a password at that point then the program will request a password from that time onwards.

if you put no password in (leave it blank) then you should be ok.

or

the installer itself  (the blue gem) might be requesting a password - your admin password to allow you to install,, and you could be clicking this installer hoping to open the program. be sure to click the red/blue chevron crystalsolutions file - situated in your applications folder. when you want to open the program.
(if you have deleted the original files then the  desktop shortcut might not be right)

if you are not too fed up with all this - sorry
you could delete the crystalsolutions folder in the applications folder  and re-install by clicking the blue gem again.

by all means let me know how you get on

aha - I had not tried not entering a password!  Not entering a password let me straight in! thanks
